About the artist
Untitled
Yulia Krivich (1988, Dnipro, Ukraine) — a visual artist, working with photography, installation and public space. Graduate from the Department of Architecture of the State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (2010) in Dnipro and from the Faculty of Media Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2013).
Starting with her graduation project My World Is Not Where I Am (2013) about young Ukrainians, she explores issues related to young generations living in post-soviet countries. The next chapter of her work called Presentiment (2014) was published as a photobook as part of the Krakow Photomonth (2015).
Yuli Krivich was recipient of the Gaude Polonia Scholarship Program of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland (2016), and participant of the Pla(t)form at the Fotomuseum in Winterthur, Switzerland (2018) and nominated to the PinchukArtCenter Prize for Young Artists in Ukraine with her Daring & Youth project. The main focus of her artistic research is identity, combining documentary with creation, personal with political concepts.
Nominee of ING Unseen Talent Award (Amsterdam, Netherlands, 2016), laureate of ShowOFF (Photomonth, Krakow, Poland, 2015), winner of Przetwornia Project (Krakow, Poland, 2015) and other awards and honours.
Currently resides in Warsaw, Poland.
